An evening with TheCitySet is a structured dating event. Instead of hoping the right person wanders over, you sit down and meet every single person in the room, one relaxed conversation at a time. Your host handles the rest.
From booking to your matches.
Pick your city and your evening
Choose your city, then the evening and neighborhood that suit you. Booking takes a couple of minutes online. All reservations are made in advance; there's no paying at the door. If your plans change, five days' notice or five seconds, we'll move you: that's The CitySet Guarantee.
Get your Smart-Card
Once you've booked, you'll get an email inviting you to your Smart-Card, your private scorecard for the night. It works in your phone's browser, so there's nothing to download. Add a photo so people remember who they met.
Arrive and settle in
Come at the listed start time, grab a drink and say hello. There's no rush: your host waits until everyone has arrived and is comfortable before the evening begins.
Meet the whole room
Your host seats everyone and explains how the night works. Then the room moves in one easy rotation, six to seven minutes with each person, until you've met everyone. When it's time to move, your host lets you know quietly. No bells, no microphones, no name tags.
As you go, mark anyone you'd like to see again on your Smart-Card. Nobody else can see your picks.
Check back after midnight
Make your final picks by midnight. After that, log back in: if someone you picked also picked you, it's a match, and you'll each see the other's first name and email. What happens next is up to you.

Your host seats everyone and walks you through the night.
Conversations
Six to seven minutes each, with a short intermission.
Stay & mingle
Keep talking once the rotation ends. Many guests do.
Midnight
Picks close. Check back to see your matches.
Private picks.
Mutual matches.
Your Smart-Card shows everyone you'll meet that night. Tap the people you'd like to see again; nobody sees your choices, and nobody knows who you skipped.
A match only happens when the interest is mutual. Then, and only then, you each get a first name and an email address, so you can pick up the conversation on your own terms.

What to wear
Dress as you would for a first date at a nice neighborhood spot. Polished and comfortable always works.
Age ranges
Each evening lists an age range. Think of it as a guide to who you'll meet rather than a hard rule.
Food and drinks
Drinks are ordered from the venue. Food isn't included unless the listing says so.
Running late?
We wait until everyone has arrived before we begin, but the earlier you come, the more relaxed the start.
Be lovely
Kindness is the house rule. Rudeness of any kind means removal and a permanent ban, so everyone can enjoy the room.
