Conduct & Safety
A good evening starts with feeling at ease. Here's what we ask of every guest, and how we look after you.
Kindness, always.
Zero tolerance for rudeness or inappropriate behavior. Anyone who falls short is removed and permanently banned.
Your picks stay private.
Nobody sees who you chose. Contact details are only shared when two people pick each other.
Kindness is the house rule
Every TheCitySet evening is built on one simple idea: everyone in the room should feel comfortable. We have zero tolerance for rudeness or inappropriate behavior of any kind. Anyone who falls short is removed from the evening and permanently banned, so everyone else can enjoy the room.
What we ask of every guest
- Be warm to everyone you meet, including the people who aren't your type. Six or seven minutes of good conversation is something everyone deserves.
- Respect boundaries. Keep conversation and contact friendly and appropriate, and take no for an answer the first time.
- Let the Smart-Card do the work. Please don't press anyone for their number or social media during the evening. If the interest is mutual, you'll both find out after midnight.
- Drink responsibly. Enjoy the venue, and know your limit. Your host may ask anyone who's had too much to leave.
- Respect other guests' privacy. Please don't photograph or record other guests without their permission.
- Follow your host's lead, and the venue's own rules.
How we protect your privacy
Your picks are private. Nobody sees who you chose, and nobody knows who you didn't. When two people pick each other, each sees only the other's first name and email address, so you can decide together how and when to meet again.
We never share your details with anyone you didn't match with.
Meeting a match afterward
A match is the start of a conversation, not a commitment. When you meet again, a few sensible habits go a long way:
- Meet somewhere public, like a café or a busy spot in your neighborhood.
- Tell a friend where you're going and who you're meeting.
- Arrange your own way there and back, and keep your plans flexible.
- Take your time before sharing your home address or other personal details.
- Trust your instincts. It's always fine to end a date early.
If something doesn't feel right
On the night, tell your host straight away. They're there to look after the room and will step in. After the evening, email us at info@thecityset.com and tell us what happened. Every report is read by our team, handled discreetly and taken seriously.
If you ever feel unsafe or are in immediate danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number) first.
